Hello! This is Ben. I was born and raised in Hong Kong. I completed high school and university in the United States, spending 8 years aboard getting my Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry(Chemistry) with a minor in Statistics from Purdue University. I also have a master of science in Epidemiology & Biostatistics from The Chinese University of Hong Kong I can teach the following subjects: General English, Maths (Primary level), Biology & Chemistry. Legal Assistant at a U.S. law firm, drafting legal documents and providing translation services for Chinese-speaking clients. Virginia has a strong passion for teaching and learning. Her mission is to provide opportunities for students to make music they love and to proceed at their own pace individually and to develop wider musical skills by small theory games (in the case of teaching children and beginners). Meanwhile, Virginia has been giving onetoone tuition students of all ages and levels, in subjects such as Mathematics and Chemistry. She teaches in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese. She also has solid classroom teaching experiences, notably acquired through teaching English in Summer Schools in Guangzhou, China in 2012. Music Qualifications / Achievements: - Virginia is currently a masters student majoring in composition at King’s College London, under the supervision of Professor Silvina Milstein. Previously also an undergraduate at King's, Virginia graduated with firstclass honours in music. She studied violin with Nicolas Dupont and Georgia Hannant through the King's College London ℳ Royal Academy of Music joint performance programme. Prior to her music degrees, Virginia was awarded a distinction in Grade 8 Violin, following with a DipABRSM performance Diploma one year later - Primary as a violinist, Virginia has played in a variety of orchestras including University of London Symphony Orchestra, King's College London Symphony Orchestra, and Asian Youth Orchestra. As well as orchestral playing, Virginia enjoys playing in smaller groups notably with the KCLMMS sinfonietta. Virginia has also earned ABRSM Grade 8 Piano and music theory. She is also an erhu player who previously studied with Professor Colin Huehns at the Royal Academy of Music - Additionally, Virginia is a young composer whose goal is to spread the enjoyment of musicmaking through writing pieces using a comprehensible, engaging musical language.
